Shining Pearl is another jewel out of a famed full Accoyo stud no longer available to outside breedings - the legendary PCA Accoyo El Nino. Her dam, Alpine Fiber's Ms Claire, is a Hemingway daughter and full sister to Alpine Fiber's Brutus, who has become the top stud in New Zealand (see www.Southernalpacas.nz). With that pedigree, it's no suprise that Shining Pearl's fleece is so stunning. It is amazingly bright with uniform crimpy character throughout. Because her dam has given us some spectacular colored offspring (see Cheyenne!) we chose to breed Shining Pearl to the rare medium fawn full Accoyo, PHA Accoyo Stratosphere. Stratosphere, a Legacy boy, has taken first place ribbons at AOBA and AWE two years running. No doubt, Shining Pearl's cria, due 9/09, will be a head turner. |
